Charles Jenck's Evolution of Architecture: 

La Pop Art: “LA POP” art is a company found by Joseph Leibovic in 2004,
the company is based in Nevada, Los Angeles. La pop is a derivative of
the famous pop art initiated in 1994 also by Joseph Leibovic, the company
specialises in the creation of text-based artwork, entirely drawn by hand, also
known as Micrographic. By using entire movie scripts, complete song lyrics
and manuscripts, Los Angeles Pop Art creates images out of the text that tell
the story of that specific image.

Utopia: the word Utopia was commemorated by the international community
to represent the ideal state of a socio-political- society, which a community
processes due to its perfect state, for example a civilisation thriving on
renewable energy; no wast/pollution, this is reminiscing the aspect of Socio
sustainability.

Hezrog and Meuron: Hezrog and Meuron is a highly successful architecture
firm based in Switzerland, the company was founded by partners “Jacques
Herzog (born 19 April 1950), and Pierre de Meuron (born 8 May 1950). The
company excels in macro and micro projects however there most notable
accomplishments are considered to compromise mainly Macro structures. A
notable accomplishment was the “Beijing national stadium (birds nest)”. The
company was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 2001 as this is the most prestigious
awards in the realms or Architecture at its finest.


Garden cities are cities that are planned base on the Garden city scheme, an urban planning method that was started in 1898 by Sir Ebenezer Howard in the UK.  The intention of Garden cities is to achieve utopian communities that are self-sufficient and self- contained.  The ideal Garden city as described in Howard’s book Garden Cities of To-morrow would be2, 400 ha and would accommodate 32,000 people. The city would be planned on a concentric pattern with open spaces, public parks and six radial boulevard extending from the centre. When it reached full population, another garden city would be built nearby and the cities would be linked by road or rails.

A fractal is rough-looking and geometrical structure or shape that can be split into fragments, each of the fragment is a reduced-size copy of the whole. Fractal architecture is generated by applying the fractal geometric principles to the design of facades and building forms.

Morphosis  is an architecture firm that is founded by Mayne, Livio Santini, James Stafford and Michael Brickler in 1972.  Their goal was to develop an architecture that would avoid the normal bounds of traditional forms.

Surrationalism was developed by Gaston Bachelard, a French philosopher. He describes “the duty of surrationalism” as “to take over those formulas, well purged and economically ordered by the logicians, and recharge them psychologically, put them back into motion and into life.”

Kiko Mozuna - A Japanese architect, whose first work was the Anti- dwelling box (1972) which established him as one of Japan's leading post-modernists. He also designed the Ying Yang house and later found the architectural firm Kiko Mozuna and Associates.” He was awarded the Architectural Institute of Japan Prize in 1985 for the Kushiro City Museum.

Robert A.M. Stern is an American architect whose projects are usually catergorised as post -modern. He is also the dean of Yale school of Architecture and has published many books. He lectures on historical and contemporary aspects of architecture, and also works in the firm Robert A.M. Stern.
